Mohammad Awaji is a self-taught painter from Riyadh who came to art the honest way — his father painted throughout his childhood, galleries and exhibitions filled the years that followed, and by the time he finally picked up a brush in late 2025, a lifetime of looking had already done its work.
He paints when thinking stops being enough — when the feeling is too specific for language and too stubborn to ignore. Working in acrylics, with oils ahead, he moves between landscape and abstraction without choosing between them. Slowly. With questions he doesn't expect the canvas to answer.
